Dr. Ajayi is the founder and CEO of Hospitals for Humanity, with cognate experience in International Healthcare Management and Consulting, he has since inception of HfH, has led in the implementation of projects under various strategies (e.g. Medical Mission Initiatives, Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Initiatives etc.) aimed at midwifing the Mission of Hospital for Humanity with local partnerships across the world- Afghanistan, Haiti, Nigeria, Philippines & Senegal.

Myna Shegog BSN, RN, SANE-A

Executive Director

An award winning nurse with expertise in forensic nursing, crisis intervention, cultural diversity and emergency medical services centered toward victims of sexual assault, interpersonal violence, elder abuse and child abuse. With a BSN in Nursing from North Park University, Chicago, Illinois, she is also a certified International Public Health Intensivist.

Tiffany C. Davidson Esq.:

Legal.

With a Jurist Doctorate, BA in English & a minor in Political Science, Ms. Davidson have over ten years’ experience practicing law and heads the HfH Legal unit.

BolajiAjayi:

Programs Manager HfH Africa.

An award winning, brilliant administrator and project manager, Mr. Ajayi, brings unrivaled delivery in project planning and implementation.

Valeria Simms:

Programs Admin support (MMIs).

With more than 25 years of experience working with health care, performing arts, legal, civic and volunteer teams, Ms. Simms provides administrative support to all Medical Mission Initiatives. An engaged leader, Ms. Simms has created, written, and trained personnel on policies and procedures for Emergency Preparedness, customer service protocols, and parliamentary procedures.

Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Initiative Team

Ikenna Omeje, M.D., Ph.D.:

Lead Paediatric Surgeon.

Dr. Omeje received his Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University/Children’s University Hospital, Bratislava, Slovakia and his Specialty in Cardiac Surgery with Distinction from the Faculty of Postgraduate Specialization, the Slovak Medical University also in Bratislava, Slovakia. He‘s specialized in twenty nine (29) cardiothoracic procedures.

Bunmi Ode, M.D.:

Clinical Paediatric Intensive Care Operations Director.

Dr. Ode received her medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2003. Since that time, she has had a variety of postdoctoral experiences as such prestigious institutions as the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Harvard Medical School, and the Brooklyn Hospital Center: affiliate hospital of Weill-Cornell School of Medicine, and The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Ode recently served as an Attending Pediatric Intensivist at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.

Myna Shegog BSN, RN, SANE-A

Wale Olabiyi, M.D.:

HfH Paediatric Cardiologist.

A brilliant and dedicated paediatric cardiologist, Dr. Olabiyi has proficiency in Cardiovascular outcomes research and he is a member of Paediatric cardiology Associates. His professional interests include inpatient paediatric cardiology and non-invasive imaging. He has a particular interest in the single ventricle program and transition of cardiology care from paediatric to adult.

Teresa Isichei Pounds, PharmD

Clinical Pharmacy Director

A seasoned pharmacist and a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist, she has expertise in Clinical pharmacy education, Pharmacy Residency Programming, Pharmaceutical services and Patient care coordination. Among her many impactful roles, she serves as a preceptor for Mercer University, University of Georgia, South University, Xavier University, Morehouse School of Medicine, and the Medical College of Georgia.

Amanda Sorrelis:

Nurse, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

A certified pediatric nurse, currently pursuing CCRN accreditation, Ms. Sorells has been a practicing nurse for over 20 years; the last eight in the pediatric intensive care unit. She’s proficient in providing immediate recovery for infants, children, and adolescents following surgical correction of simple and complex cardiac defects. She believes all children with congenital heart defects deserve access to surgical repair and the best possible care.  She enjoys precepting new intensive care nurses.

Elaine Brown-McRae

Community Pharmacy Director.

An award-winning pharmacist with over twenty years of managerial experience received her pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia school of Pharmacy.

Ize Adava

Executive Strategist.

With expertise in Communications, Relations/Networking, Advocacy, Research, Resource & Social mobilization among others and cognate experience in International Development, Ms. Adava currently co-leads strategy development and implementation.
