Make A Planned Gift

Planned giving involves making arrangements now to support HFH in the future. These gifts can take various forms and are often part of your financial and estate planning.

We believe in creating lasting impacts that span generations. Planned giving allows you to make a profound difference in the lives of these children, while securing your legacy and providing future support for our medical programs.

By including HFH in your long-term financial planning, you help ensure that we can continue our work of providing free open-heart surgeries for children suffering from CHDs for years to come.

Types of Planned Gifts

  • Bequests: Include HFH in your will or living trust. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or specific assets.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts:  Create a trust that provides you or your beneficiaries with income for life or a specified term, with the remainder going to HFH.
  • Charitable Lead Trusts: Establish a trust that provides income to HFH for a designated period, after which the remaining assets go to your beneficiaries.
  • Life Insurance: Name HFH as a beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy, or transfer ownership of the policy to HFH.
  • Retirement Plans: Designate HFH as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets, such as an IRA or 401(k).
  • Real Estate and Other Assets: Donate real estate, stocks, bonds, or other appreciated assets to HFH, potentially reducing capital gains taxes.

How to Make a Planned Gift

  • Consult with Advisors: Speak with your financial advisor, attorney, or estate planner to determine the best planned giving option for your situation.

  • Formalize Your Gift: Work with your advisors to include HFH in your estate plans or to set up the chosen planned giving vehicle.
  • Notify HFH: Let us know about your planned gift so we can acknowledge your generosity and ensure your wishes are honored.
