Prof. Kemi Ige
Prof. Olukemi Ige is a Paediatric Cardiologist with Jos University Teaching Hospital and lectures at its affiliated University in Jos, Plateau state. She is currently the Head of department of Paediatrics in the same institution. She obtained her MBBS degree from the University of Jos in 2001 and went on to obtain the Fellowship of the west African College of Physicians in Paediatrics in 2010.
She is passionate about caring for children with cardiac diseases and teaching Paediatric Cardiology to medical students and residents, tasks she has been involved with for about 20 years. Olukemi has been involved in several international and multicenter national research collaborations in cardiology with various published articles in topical issues in Paediatrics and Paediatric cardiology.
She volunteers at the Heart Aid trust Foundation in Jos, Nigeria which caters to the needs to children and adults with heart diseases in the State and its environs. Dr Ige is a member of several associations including the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN), and the Nigerian Cardiac Society (NCS).
